About Amelia Coward
Amelia Coward is renowned for her explorations into mixing, blending and grading colours, with a growing international profile. Born in 1975, she holds a 1st class Honours from Central St Martins and MA from the Royal College of Art. Her artworks can be found in both private and corporate collections worldwide. Amelia creates artworks that focus on the interaction of colours combined with the carefully composed spacial balance between geometric elements such as circles and stripes. Influenced by her woven textile training she uses laser cutters much the same way as she was trained to use a loom, cutting geometric shapes then reassembling them in patchwork compositions. Located in a traditional Oast Barn in the Kent countryside, Amelia combines her prolific making of new pieces with her commercial giftware business, Bombus. Each influences the other. Amelia has a team of creative makers in her studio to help to assemble, photograph, frame and pack all the works.

Works for sale
All artworks shown are available for sale, each framed by me in my studio with UV perspex to protect from sun damage. If artwork is marked as sold then please contact me for a commission. I am always happy to hear about a special piece you may want making and can work to size and brief. No two pieces are identical as each is hand painted individually but I am always keen to make a new piece if you would like something similar. I don’t currently make prints of any of my work as each relies on the texture and 3d effect of the wood, original paper, paint or glaze used.
